Taraash 2015
Natyansh Society of Dramatics & Performing Arts organised 36 days production oriented summer theatre workshop Taraash 2015 with the joint efforts of Rotary Club ‘Heritage’, Udaipur from May 09 to June 14, 2015.
This workshop was designed to benefit individuals interested in acting and dramatics. The 36 day workshop included lessons on Speech & Diction, Voice Modulation, Improvisation, Body Movement and Observation etc. Further insights into practical performance were delivered through games, which was a prominent part of the workshop.
The theater workshop ‘Taraash’ concluded with performances of three comedy short plays and certificate distribution. 15 students participated in the workshop in which the first play ‘Free Style Gawahi’ was written by Kaka Hathrasi and directed by Ashfaq Noor Khan Pathan. The artists including Mahendra Dangi, Niti Sharma, Abdul Mubin Khan Pathan, Anne Zacharia, Prashant Gupta and Shlok Pimplkar performed well.
The second play ‘Jyotish ka Chamatkar’ was written by Ghanshyam Goyal and directed by Amit Shrimali. In the play, the students who performed were Zack Jacob, Akhil Nayar, Zoyal Jacob, Prashant Gupta, Divya Rathore, Mohammad Rizwan Mansuri, Mahendra Dangi and Ayush Maheshwari.
The third play was a mime in which the performance by Mahendra Dangi spellbound the audience. The background artists were Shlok Sharma, Yashwardhan Harsh Kant, Yogeeta Sisodia, Amit Shrimali and Rekha Sisodia.
After the performance of all the three plays, President of Rotary Club Heritage Deepak Sukhadia along with Deepak Goyal, Natyansh’s President Ashfaq Noor Khan Pathan and Arun Jain congratulated all the talented artists and gave certificates.
